Min ila is proudly governed by a Board of Directors that is elected every two years by the General Assembly. The rest of the team consists of our dedicated interns that always have an important role to play in the development of our organization. Supported by generous people who have become our partners, the team is the backbone of the organization that keeps us striving for more. Founder and President

Tala is a highly accomplished professional with over 11 years of experience serving in non-profit executive positions across various sectors, including non-governmental organizations, philanthropy, aid agencies, and academia. She has a proven track record of creating, scaling, and optimizing systems, strategies, and programs that positively impact people’s lives. Tala is also a lecturer and a talented career coach, specializing in the development of young people’s talents and agility in an ever-changing world.

Vice President

Bachir Osmat is a professor in Sociology at the Lebanese University. With more than 30 years of experience in Local Development, he is the advisor for Social Policies to the Minister of Social Affairs and to the National Poverty Targeting Program.

Treasurer

Joy, Mental Health & Psychosocial Support, is a Lecturer in Developmental psychology at USJ in Beirut. She has over 8 years’ experience working in youth mental health and psychological care in the contexts of child protection, alternative care, maltreatment and trauma.

In 2012, he was selected as the Rector of the Saint Joseph University. He is constantly active in several cultural and religious dialogues across the region with the title “Pluralisme, citoyenneté et vivre-ensemble: la salut vient-il de l’école” in one of his principal works.

Basel is an associate Professor and Director of the Center for Applied Research in Education at NDU. His research focuses on curriculum development for active citizenship, and empowering youth through participative research methodologies.

Christelle joined Min ila as a member of the General Assembly in 2020. With a large experience in Digital Marketing, she is the co-founder of a Digital Marketing Agency based in Beirut.

Freshman Mentorship Program Coordinator at AUB

Deema completed her BA in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy. She is currently working at AUB as the Freshman Mentorship Program Coordinator.

Project Manager

Joined Min ila in 2020, Elise works today in the Fundraising department at USJ as an Operations Manager.

Human Affairs Specialist

Human affairs specialist Gloria is a Ph.D. researcher in Human Resources and Leadership with a background in Community Development. She is currently managing the students’ life department at USJ.

Entrepreneur and outdoor enthusiast

Laura is currently and for more than 7 years, promoting women’s rights through her career in local and international organizations. Her passion is what pushed her to create “The Outdoor Guru” and “Shajar Ghouma”.

Digital Marketing Specialist

Nour joined Min ila in 2020 as a volunteer and became a member of the general assembly in 2021. She works in project management and digital marketing, and she is the co-founder of a Digital Marketing agency based in Beirut.

Counselor, Ministry of Education and Higher Education

Civic education teacher, working in the Counseling and Guidance Department at the MEHE. Her work is focused on guiding the teaching staff in civic education in the educational process in the curricula and methods of teaching functions.

Riwa Ghawi

Riwa Ghawi

Trainer and Human Rights Activist

Riwa is a human rights activist focusing on equality and sustainability. She works in Capacity Development and trains in leadership, conflict analysis and campaigning on youth and women empowerment.

Rita Tannoury

Rita Tannoury

Teacher and theatre actress

Rita works today as an Arabic Language teacher and proofreader. She is an active member of Lihaqqi, a volunteer in the relief committee Tadamon Nas and an actress & a writer in Home Made Theatre.

Engaged in community development since 2012, Yara works as a project manager and a research assistant in different NGOs. She has been active in different fields advocating for human rights, dialogue, youth and women empowerment.
